CASE STUDY
From data loss to total persistence.
Global Career Site is the company's internal platform for external candidates to apply to available job openings. The project came about from redesigning the platform from scratch, since it had structural issues, such as data loss between sessions and a lack of visibility into the status of each application, that generated frustration and abandonment midway through the application process. The work covered every stage of a comprehensive design process: user research and benchmarking, information architecture, UX/UI design, and building a completely new design system focused on making the job search more intuitive and accessible. This was complemented by the addition of an AI-powered chatbot that guides users in uploading, updating, and finding new job opportunities, along with a new database that ensures information persists between sessions. The result was a 90% positive adoption rate among users following the launch.

UX: Research and Structure.
From understanding the problem to structuring the solution: research, benchmarking, and wireframes.
My role was to research user behavior and pain points, analyze market references, and translate those findings into a clear information architecture, validated through low-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and user testing.

UI and Design System.
A custom design system, high-fidelity screens, and validation with real users.
My role was to build a custom design system for the project, applying the company's brand identity to reusable components, and to design the high-fidelity screens. I conducted an accessibility review, prototyped the full flow, and validated the final screens with another round of user testing before handing them off ready for development in Figma's Dev Mode.

Result.
The redesign resolved the core issue that prompted the project: the loss of information between sessions. With a persistent database, a chatbot guiding the data entry process, and status tracking providing visibility to the candidate, the platform began supporting users throughout their entire job search—rather than just during a single visit. This resulted in a 90% positive adoption rate following the launch, validating that the design decisions directly addressed the problem that most affected users.
